Phoebe Stone, based in Sydney, Australia, is an artist whose practice centers on the expressive potential of oil pastels. Stone’s work explores the beauty and balance found in the interplay of composition, color, pattern, and texture, often drawing inspiration from the quiet poetry of domestic life. Scenes of everyday objects—food, flowers, and household forms—are rendered with a sense of immediacy and vitality, reflecting Stone’s intuitive approach and her deep engagement with process.
Since 2021, Stone has exhibited regularly in both group and solo exhibitions, earning recognition through numerous awards and prize selections, including the prestigious Archibald Salon des Refusés. Her work is held in private collections across Australia and abroad.
